One of the toughest things for anyone beginning fitness workouts and routines is finding the right exercise program. Workout routines for beginners really need to be well thought out so that only the most effective exercises are done. With beginners, when they do not see results in a short time, they tend to give up on their training altogether.
For beginners, we need to first establish a base. Beginners need to be taught proper training techniques and form and frequent workouts. This will help prevent injury and ensure that you know what your are doing and targeting the right muscles. Here I have compiled the best workout routines for beginners.
Workout Routines for Beginners #1:
• Squats – do 5 sets with around 5 reps (rest for 2 minutes)
• Bench Press – do 5 sets with 5 reps (rest for 2 minutes)
• Pendlay Rows/Barbell Rows – do 5 sets with 5 reps (rest for 2 minutes)
• Dips – do 3 sets. Do reps till you fail or can not do it anymore

Training Schedule for Beginners:
The following training schedule is for the workout routines above.
Day 1: Workout #1
Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Workout #2
Day 4: Rest
Day 5: Workout #1
Day 6: Rest
Day 7: Rest
Rest does not mean a time to do nothing, in the fitness world; rest is usually active rest which means you could do something like cardio. Spend an hour or so on a stationary exercise bike, a treadmill or even a rower. One of the best workouts for when you are resting is swimming. You work all parts of your body and it compliments your weight training. Skipping is also a favorite and should never be underestimated.
For beginners, they also need to know that without a proper diet, they can get almost nowhere with their fitness results. A good diet has a lot of protein as opposed to carbohydrates. A post workout meal is also very important as it can ruin all the good work you may have done in the gym.
